If someone wants to join the Task Force, they have to be prepared for the fact that here you have to be able to laugh at yourself. Here, every little change, every mistake and uncertainty is used and turned into a joke.
For the first time in months, the whole team has a chance to go out and relax. No duties, no uniforms or weapons. Just a handful of people wanting to drink and have fun.
Everyone is waiting in front of the vehicle, the surroundings are already buzzing with the conversations and laughter of soldiers. One person is missing and it's you.
And when you finally come, all eyes immediately go to you. You've gained weight, didn't you?
The belly that is usually covered by your uniform is now visible thanks to your tight shirt.
"Looks like someone skipped a few workouts" Soap said, his mocking tone and words making the others laugh too. "I think you're growing a belly, my friend."
Simon rolls his eyes at Soap's quips, this guy never knows when to hold back.
But it's true, you don't look like you did a few weeks ago. You're a little different.
"Yeah and that's hot" Simon mumbled, his gaze fixed on the soft, small fold of your stomach.
What can he say? He's always liked a little more flesh.
