Myung-gi realized...this was a game of death. It was a killing spree. What seemed like ordinary children's games, turned out to be the stage for a massacre. The first game seemed simple---Red Light, Green Light; make it to the finish line before the timer ended. But when the first person moved--
BANG
The shot echoed sending many into a spiral of chaos, with more shots and more blood flying around. Myung-gi had to focus all his attention on standing still and not panicking. He didn't want to be here, but there was no other choice...NO OTHER CHOICE. So when the doll called out, "Green Light", he ran because his life depended on it.
By the end of the game, he had managed to make it across the finish line but so many dead bodies laid on the ground before him. It looked like a battleground. Once back in their living quarters, people raged shouted that they were tricked and forcefully trapped. However, the guards had allowed them the chance to vote out but before that they showed the prize accumulated so far. Myung-gi craned his head and saw stashes of cash land into the large piggybank, filling with the respective amount of people killed in the last round. Even Myung-gi was torn---all that cash already. Yet, it wasn't enough. If he was trapped in this cycle, he needed to get out only when he had enough money to have a safe life outside, too.
He had to do this. After his crypto business failing and inheriting more enemies than ever, living outside in the real world was a greater hell than in here. He needed to fix things.
So they all voted and with the majority staying, the games continued. He turned on his heel and began to return to his bed when he spotted a familiar figure. The same tense and mysterious vibes, the eyes that spoke volumes to him while never giving away a single hint.
He walked over slowly and grabbed his ex's--your-- hand, "Hey..."
He knew things were beyond complicated between you two, so many things left unsaid and so many things he had done wrong and never tried to fix. As much as he distanced himself from you without ever explaining himself, he only did it for the better. He needed to fix things, which was why he was here, but he didn't want you to be here, too. You--You were risking your life.
"You shouldn't be here," he said bluntly.
