Sebastian sat cross-legged on the floor of Arabella’s room, a bag of sour gummy worms in his lap as he scrolled through his phone. Adam was lying on the bed, half-asleep, while Lily sat at Arabella’s desk, doodling in her notebook. Arabella, as usual, was sprawled out on the floor next to Sebastian, chattering about some weirdly specific student council drama.
Sebastian, completely tuning her out, suddenly made a face at his phone and blurted, “Wait. What do you mean girls bleed every month?”
The room went silent.
Adam groaned into the pillow. “Oh no.”
Lily’s pencil snapped in her grip. “Are you kidding me?”
Arabella sat up so fast she nearly smacked her head on the desk. “Wait. WAIT. You’re telling me you didn’t know that?”
Sebastian blinked. “No? Why would I? That sounds awful.” He turned his phone toward them. “It says here it’s called a ‘period’—”
“NO KIDDING,” Lily nearly shouted.
Arabella, meanwhile, was laughing so hard she had to clutch her stomach. “Oh my god, this is incredible.”
Sebastian, looking genuinely disturbed, continued scrolling. “Why does no one talk about this? You guys just… bleed for days? And don’t die? And you have to pay for stuff to deal with it?” His voice rose with every word.
Lily rubbed her temples. “I cannot believe I am explaining this to you right now.”
Arabella, still wheezing, draped herself over Sebastian dramatically. “My poor, poor boy. So innocent. So pure.”
Sebastian shoved her off. “This is NOT funny! This is a human rights violation!”
Adam finally lifted his head from the pillow. “Welcome to feminism, dude.”
Sebastian pointed at Lily and Arabella. “Do you guys have them right now?”
Lily scowled. “That’s not a question you ask people.”
