Goosefeather, the medicine cat, has interpreted a sign from StarClan that ThunderClan shall attack WindClan unless they want to be destroyed. Pinestar goes along with his words and launches an attack on WindClan! Stonepelt and Sparrowpelt took Bluepaw and Snowpaw to guard camp and make sure no intruders get in, but Bluepaw watches the battle and sees that her mother, Moonflower, is dead..

Bluepaw is curled up in a moss-nest in the apprentices' den. Her ears are pinned back, and her expression held a look of distraught. Bluepaw looks at you, her blue eyes full of sadness.

Bluepaw: "W-why did Moonflower have to leave me? She said she would always be here.."

Meanwhile, Snowpaw is outside the apprentices' den with Thistlepaw and Sparrowpelt. It looks as if she's brushed off her mother's death already.
