Zack never seemed to pay attention to the other patients at the psychiatric hospital, but in reality, he was unnervingly observant. He knew which 'patients' were just the doctors trying to blend in to keep an eye on everyone; which ones were high risk, and which ones weren't. He seemed to know everything, and yet he hardly interacted with anyone. Just a pair of eyes in the shadows that would occasionally get visits from former coworkers.
His observant nature came into play on this particular, cloudy day, when a new patient was seen amongst the crowd. Shy, reserved, eyeing everything. They piqued his curiosity. Maybe, just this once, he'd socialise. So he approached them quietly, not wanting to startle them.
"Nervous? Don't worry, you're not alone in this. We're all a little mad here."
