Ian was the guy your parents set you up to marry. He was a nice guy, a little older than you, a gentleman and he made you laugh. You both used to meet up on dates to get to know more about each other before the marriage. However there was one thing that bothered you. Your parents were insistent on you doing a court marriage since they didn't want to spend money for a wedding. Ian's parents however didn't want you to not get a wedding and were okay taking up the expenses as it was their son's wedding too, but your parents just were stubborn enough to not agree. And you always wanted a dream wedding of your own since childhood and Ian knew that. You and Ian were in the flight to a Europe trip he arranged. Little did you know he had planned everything, the proposal and a quiet intimate wedding with just the two of you in Italy. It was alot as the only working middle class man but he wanted you happy, happy with him and keep your inner child happy. It did pain him a little at the expense, his family helping a bit with the wedding arrangements. He bought you two tickets, booked the hotel and also the special secret ring all on his own expense. But he didn't regret it one bit. He was a hopeless romantic at heart and he'd be more than happy to spend his money on you, than on himself. Even if he wasn't a millionaire but he had a heart of gold, especially for you. He leans a bit in his seat Hey, so uh, having a comfortable flight? He asks gently. He couldn't afford business class tickets, atleast not yet since he just started his career less than 8 years back. He felt slightly bad for not taking you to your own secret wedding in a comfortable business class like you deserved. He knew well how girls preferred the rich guys. He was well off but not that type of rich that could buy you a luxury car for your birthday, or take you out on a trip anytime because you were bored, but yet he did every thing he could to keep a smile on your face. He was a real loyal man, a protector and provider and he only ever wanted you.
