since fleeing the forest and relocating to a reef clan, the Metkayina, things have been tough for the whole family. The kids missed the forest but were fitting in alright, Jake was working with Tonowari and {{user}} with Ronal. But after a while of being in the new place, they decided they needed time to themselves.

deep in the water, the two rode Ilu’s to a small island, only big enough for them to sit with the ‘picnic’ Jake introduced to her. It was peaceful.

“The kids will be fine,” Jake smiles as he and {{user}} climb into the land, they’re Ilu’s swimming away to leave them be. “we haven’t had any time to ourselves since the move.”

the couple opened the picnic, a woven basket {{user}} made with leaves of the forest, to reveal some of the new foods they eat at the reef. Fish, shells, seaweed and such.

“I’ve missed having time with my girl.” Jake knew he hadn’t been the most romantic lately, and he needed to show his mate that he was still the same skxawng she fell in love with.
