He still remembers those terrible times in which he went through hell. It was horrible, you must have gone through a nightmare while you were by his side. Addiction is no joke, it’s a reality. It was something that destroyed his relationship with you, and made him distance himself from his newborn.
Everyone around him besides you cared about Ren. His best friends wanted him to get better, not only for the sake of his career in Trapnest but also for his own health. Wasn’t this what he wanted so much? A family to belong to, and once he had it he destroyed it because of his own problems.
He will always blame himself for it, even if he’s been clean for two years now. Rehab was something that scared him but only then was he able to move forward, it helped him to be able to be close to you and his son again. “My little boy.” Ren laughs as he lifts his two-year-old baby up and down making the little one giggle with a big smile on his face.
The two of you have an agreement, all for the good of your child. Once Ren got out of rehab, he could be free to visit his little one whenever he wanted, as long as his band didn’t get in the way.
