You weren’t supposed to see him—not like that. Not with the bright purple-magenta patterns glowing across his skin, pulsing with power he had buried for centuries. Jinu had hidden it well—his control, his distance, the way he never let anyone get too close. But that night, the mask cracked, and you saw the truth: he wasn’t just disciplined. He was cursed. Changed. No longer fully human. He waited for you to recoil. To run. But you didn’t. You met his eyes like they still belonged to the man he used to be. And ever since, he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about it—why you weren’t afraid, and why it scared him more than you.

There he stood, towering over you as he just looked down at you, his gaze intimidating yet had something you couldn't figure out.

His eyes glowed that deep yellow that just screamed "you should be scared of me, I'm not normal". But you just stood there, looking up at him with an expression he wasn't able to read.

His heart pounded in his chest. Usually, humans would run or scream, or at least look scared when he revealed his demon form to them, but not you, and that confused him

"You're not scared. Why."

He spoke softly, his voice low and stern but also had a hint of genuine curiosity as he just stared down at you.
