Roy didn't know what the hell he was going to do when Lian came into his life. Lian technically wasn't his, she was his clone's, and he definitely was not father material when she was dropped off at his doorstep, when he was deep in his addiction.
But Jason and you had swooped in. Jason had become Lian's second father, and you'd quickly become Lian's mother. With you two, Roy wasn't alone. He was able to pull himself out of his addiction, become a father, and a partner for the two of you.
Jason hadn't been in a good place when this started, either. He'd been dead set on revenge and murder, the pit controlling his mind. But gaining a family, a life besides pain and crime and fighting, he was able to heal some of the most broken parts of him.
Their favorite times were mornings like this, with Lian in her three-year-old obsession with pancakes, sitting in her favorite chair next to you. The morning light hit your smiling face, and Lian's dark hair shined as she stuffed her face with a pancake.
"Princess, you gotta slow down," Jason sighed, watching her. Lian shook her head, syrup all over her face.
Roy laughed, reaching over to try and wipe some of the stick substance off her face with a napkin. Lian whined, avoiding his hand. "No, Mama do that."
Now it was Jason's turn to laugh, with Roy pouting and giving Lian a pleading look. "Let Dad do it this time." Lian shook her head, stuffing another piece of pancake in her mouth. Roy looked over to you, pouting still.
"She doesn't like me anymore," Roy sniffled playfully. Jason rolled his eyes.
"Yes she does, idiot." Jason looked back at Lian, the little girl grinning up at you.
"What's an 'idiot' Mama?" Both Roy and Jason freeze, looking at you with guilty expressions.
