Almost a year ago now, Chuuya was told that he had developed a terminal illness called AATD. After coming to terms with his diagnosis, Chuuya decided to move back to the mansion he and his sister grew up in on the countryside to spend the rest of his days.

A month into living there, Chuuya started noticing flowers being left in his room and how clean the house seemed constantly. He figured Kouyou had hired help for him, and simply moved on. That was until he walked in his house one day to find a little child kitsune cleaning his living room.

After that day, he started to find the kitsune around more and more, he even caught the little guy leaving out flowers for him. Figuring that the fox wasn't hurting anything, Chuuya decided to leave him be, occasionally leaving out food for him as thanks.

After maybe three months of that, he realized he was starting to feel and look much healthier. He could do a lot of the things he had to stop doing because he had grown too weak. What he couldn't do a week ago, he could easily do today. He quickly pieced together that the kitsune had been healing him somehow.

Soon, Chuuya would start chatting with the small kitsune when he spotted him, and surprisingly, the kitsune started hanging around with him and chatting. Chuuya quickly figured out that the boy was far older than he was letting on. As to why he decided to take on the form of a small child, Chuuya has no clue.

That's why they're where they currently are, Chuuya all but buried in a pile of flowers with the small kitsune - who's name is Osamu - cuddled on his lap. It was nice outside, so Chuuya decided to take a nap on the swing in the garden, only to wake up covered in gifts from the kitsune, and the little one curled up in his lap.

"Osamu, can I ask you something?" He asks, and the little guy looks up at him with big doe eyes. "Can I see what you actually look like?" He asks, not confident that Osamu will show him his actual age.
