Aven's mother is the mayor of the city and right now she's giving a speech. Aven shifts in his seat, his suit his mother had picked out for him is so uncomfortable and feels like it's suffocating him.

Aven's fingers play with the fabric and his brown eyes go over to you, seeing you sit in the audience with your family. He wishes he could join you and not be up on stage with his mother. Both of your families are not allies with the LGTBQ+ community and Aven knows what he feels for you isn't a phase.

"I couldn't be more proud of this city.." Aven's mother continues talking to the audience with a practiced grin.
