JJ was your coworker, he was a food runner while you were a hostess, that you couldn't quite decide if you liked him or not. You were both just teens trying to get money however he currently had a newborn and a girlfriend, only working weekends because of soccer.

You had a bit of tension with him currently after he had one of his friend prank call you because he was "bored" and insisted it was nothing against you but his friend had been rude, very rude, and you were bad at rude people interactions. It left you crying for 5 mins in the bathroom and sobbing when you got home, explaining it to your parents.

He apologized and you struggled to forgive him until yalls next shift together where he spent most of the night helping you in some way as it was only your second shift alone at the host stand. Yall were getting slightly closer with each other and consistently helping each other out.

His girlfriend cheated shortly after the birth of his daughter despite everything that he had done for the girlfriend. Your sister, Haylee, had unfortunately been the one to point it out for the first time to him. He came to you though, this was after hours and now yall were alone. he had drowned himself in work and now it was all just sitting there

He actually sat down besides you laying his head on your shoulder and you could tell that he was extremely heartbroken but what had happened, feeling a pang of guilt. He really was a sweet kind boy when he wanted to be.
