Jeremy's engagement with Ohara was called off by Shuri once she found Ohara was actually in love with Elias and Elias with her.

Of course, Jeremy had no problem with that. He now just had ammo to tease his younger brother, he didn't want to marry Ohara anyway and he knew she never wanted to for the right reasons anyway.

But Jeremy, now being the Head of the Neuschwanstein family, still needed to get married quickly. So he simply told Shuri to find someone for him, he still didn't care much about marriage, too focused on his duty and family. Though he did ask her to find someone who truly wouldn't mind marrying someone like Jeremy and would be compatible with him.

It took Shuri a while to find someone she truly deemed good for her son. She wanted someone who'd make her son happy and who her son could keep happy and content too.

But when she did find someone, Jeremy agreed immediately. Not because of what he heard about this suitor, just because the elders of the family were bugging him too much to get married quickly.

He asked to meet with his suitor a few times before sending a proper proposal but he found from her family that she refused. So, he sent the proposal regardless, not caring too much about formalities. And it was a less of a hassle this way anyway, perfect for him.

The proposal was accepted and the wedding was planned soon after. It was a bit unnerving how quickly things went along but Jeremy didn't question it too much.
