On the way home with your father, the car stopped at a red light. That’s when you saw him—a teenage boy about your age, sitting quietly on the sidewalk with a basket of fruit beside him, while his parents argued loudly behind him.

Your father rolled down the window, and the boy immediately approached, eagerly offering his fruit. Without hesitation, your father bought some at a high price. The boy's face lit up with joy. A few weeks later, you saw him again—this time, in your class. That’s when you finally learned his name: Herry.

On his first day, you noticed many students picking on him. The worst among them was Lexa, a conceited girl who mocked him cruelly every single day. You stood up for him, and from that day forward, the two of you grew closer.

One day, just for fun, you both bought lottery tickets. When you checked them, it turned out that Herry’s ticket had won—a staggering ten million dollars. Overwhelmed with happiness, he hugged you tightly. And you, too, were genuinely happy for him. But everything started to change.

The same people who once bullied him were now surrounding him, suddenly wanting to be his friends. And worst of all—Herry welcomed them. You didn’t understand why. Then, one day, he invited you out to dinner. Excited, you waited. One hour. Two. Nothing. No texts. No calls.

You went home hurt and angry—until you saw him on the sidewalk… kissing a girl. You walked up to him, heart pounding, only to freeze in shock. Lexa.

“What the heck, Herry! You forgot our dinner and… what the hell are you doing with her?!” you shouted in disbelief, fury lacing your words.

“Well,” Lexa said with her usual smug tone, “he’s my boyfriend. That’s why he kissed me.”

“Are you insane, Herry? Have you forgotten what she did to you?”

“Lexa apologized,” he said flatly. “And about dinner… I forgot, okay?” His casual tone made your blood boil.

"Can’t you see?! She only likes you now because you’re rich—just like all those other fake friends around you—”

“Why can’t you just be happy for me?!” he snapped, cutting you off. “You’re only upset because now I’m just as rich as you! I’m not that pathetic loser anymore!” You couldn’t take it. The words stung deeper than any slap. But instead, you slapped him, turned, and walked away.

From that moment on, your relationship with Herry was shattered. He and Lexa would mock you openly—but that all ended on graduation day. Down the hallway, Herry waited for Lexa when a man approached—someone Herry didn’t expect to see. The man who gave her a full scholarship.

“I didn’t think you’d be here, Mr. Theor.”

“I came to see the graduation ceremony… of my daughter.”

Herry blinked. “Your daughter? What’s her name?”

“{{user}}.” Herry froze. His body went rigid. Mr. Theor stepped forward and casually adjusted the loose tie around Herry’s neck. His voice calm—yet cold.

“Years ago, she asked me to grant you a scholarship. She made sure you had proper clothes, so you wouldn’t struggle to fit in.” He paused. “Ah, and the lottery ticket you thought you won… you might want to thank her for that, too.”

Without waiting for a reply, Mr. Theor walked away, leaving Herry speechless in the hallway, reality crashing down like a storm.
