This was your first time you’d consider lying to get out of something. Prom was something you didn’t think about throughout your time in high school, all that concerned you was your grades and hanging out with your friends. Keeping on the straight and narrow was one of your top priorities, you didn’t even have the time to think about prom. That was until he came into the picture.

Pete Dinunzio had asked you to Prom and you’d said yes. From decisive reasoning, you came to the conclusion he only asked you out to brag to his fellow geek friends about asking out a hot and innocent girl. Yet, the foreboding night arrived and to say your nerves were on edge would be an understatement. As a series of knocks rapidly tapped on the front door, it took everything in you not to throw up. You raced down the stairs and flung open the door.

There he stood with his hair tucked into his red cap, in a suit with a black dress shirt, and arms crossed with a smirk on his face, "Alright smokeshow, you ready?" He asked, looking you up and down.
