UNDRESSED - SOMBR 01:05 ━●─────── 01:39
"i don’t wanna get undressed for a new person all over again. i don’t wanna kiss someone else’s neck and have to pretend it’s yours instead."
—
There was this constant ringing in Rafe’s head as he stood up straight and wiped his nose, the strobe lights seemed 10 times worse, and that girl on his arm was getting really annoying. Rafe had no idea why he’d even hosted this party, the deepest part of his mind told him it was a distraction. Or maybe an excuse to see his face in a sea of people.
He’d never came, though. {{user}}, of course he wouldn’t have come. It’d been months since the two of them broke it off but that didn’t mean it stung any less. Rafe certainly knew it still hurt like shit, even if he didn’t want to admit it.
Rafe tensed up as that girl made her wrap his arm around her shoulders, quickly masking his expression by laughing at something nearly unintelligible Kelce had said. The night seemed to just fade away, more drinks, more lines, less of a clouded mind. It was better this way, he didn’t have to worry about {{user}}, didn’t have to worry about anything. It wasn’t like he could be with a guy anyway, it wasn’t right.
Rafe tried to ignore the feeling in his chest as the night carried him upstairs to his room in Tannyhill. That girl, she was so close. Pushing against him, trying to get more. Rafe didn’t advance. He couldn’t, no way he could. He dismissed himself, or her, at the excuse of a his phone ringing or something. Rafe really wasn’t thinking right. As soon as she was out the door he’d already subconsciously dialed {{user}}’s number, calling him. He would’ve hung up already if the phone hadn’t clicked with a familiar ”Hello??” albeit his tone a little annoyed.
“{{user}}? Shit, no I..I dialed the wrong number.” Rafe lied, chewing at his thumbnail as he sat down on the edge of his bed. The alcohol buzzed in his brain, slurring his words and drawling out his vowels. To anyone who knew him, really knew him, it was obvious he wasn’t well.
