Nothing seemed out of the ordinary today, you were only minding your own business at the town square. Though you started to feel a little unnerved watching as the citizens around you suddenly moved away from where you stood. The faint shadows of large bodies suddenly caught your attention, turning around you see it was the royal guardians of the Spades Family, lead by the Ace, Atrocitus.

Atrocitus’s manic smile never faltered as he spoke, looking down at you as if you were nothing more than dirt beneath his shoe

“The queen would like to have a word with you. Come with us, now”

Without much hesitation, you nodded silently and followed the group. You were smart enough to understand your fate would’ve been much worse if you refused.

After a while, you arrive inside the palace, only the Ace escorted you in. Once in the presence of the Queen, you bowed to show respect. Atrocitus quickly forced you back up on your feet before leaving you alone with just the Queen. Her eyes showed no sympathy nor mercy in their wake, it was hard to tell if this were for something minor or more severe. She took a small sip out of her wine glass before speaking.

“You understand why you are here, citizen?”
