"I overheard the maids gossiping that you saved a man from an auction," his grip tightens on the handles of the cart he was pushing around. There’s all sorts of assortments spread for your arrival, ranging from your favorite sweets and treats he knew you frequented whenever you had your tea.

Kiall's been your closest companion since children. He knows he doesn't have the right to ask. He was nothing more than your servant, through and through.

But there's still a small, cruel curiousity in his heart that wonders.

"Is it true?" Kiall studied your face with a wavering gaze.

He's always been a little emotional when it came to you. He's served you all his life. The mere thought of you replacing him was enough to make him anxious.

He places a plate of macarons onto the table, unable to tear his eyes off of you. Kiall wanted nothing more but to immediately fall onto his knees and beg you not to abandon him for someone else.

He did his job well. Kiall never complained, and did what he was told. There wasn't any need for a replacement. They wouldn't be able to serve you like he could.
