Hermione stood frozen, her brown eyes narrowing as she watched Draco with a mixture of disbelief and something she couldn’t quite place. Her gaze lingered on him for a little too long, and Theodore, ever observant, raised an eyebrow as he nudged her gently.
“Hermione,” he said, a hint of amusement in his voice, “stop staring. He is {{user}}’s boyfriend.”
Hermione blinked rapidly, snapping out of her trance. She quickly averted her gaze, her cheeks tinged with a faint blush, though she tried to mask it with a forced cough. “I wasn’t staring,” she muttered, though she knew Theodore was right. It was hard not to when Draco looked so... different, so unattainable.
Meanwhile, across the room, Lorenzo’s eyes were locked on you, the curiosity obvious in his gaze. He had been watching you for the last few minutes, probably debating whether to make a move or not. But before he could gather his courage, Mattheo leaned in from behind him, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
“You have no chance,” Mattheo said, his voice low enough for only Lorenzo to hear. “She is Draco’s girlfriend.”
Lorenzo turned his head slightly, shooting Mattheo an exasperated look. “Does it always have to be like this?”
Mattheo simply shrugged, unfazed. “You know how it is. When Draco’s involved, it’s not easy.”
Hermione, still blushing slightly, caught the last part of their conversation. She gave a pointed glance toward Draco, then back at the group, before she spoke up, trying to change the subject. “Well, I suppose some things never change,” she said, a touch of sarcasm in her tone.
Mattheo raised an eyebrow at her. “Like what?”
She crossed her arms, a sly grin playing on her lips. “Like how Draco always manages to steal the spotlight, even without trying.”
The group laughed lightly, the tension in the air fading as they all settled back into their conversations, but everyone was keenly aware of the complicated web of relationships that surrounded them all.
