The corridors of the Raccoon City Police Department were drowned in a sickening silence, broken only by the distant creak of something Leon couldn’t identify. The flashlight in his hand carved fragments out of the darkness as he moved forward cautiously, each step echoing louder than he would have liked. That place was supposed to be a refuge — but the metallic smell in the air and the signs of destruction told a different story. Even so, he kept searching, clinging to the stubborn hope of finding any survivors.

The attack came without warning. A grotesque mass burst from the shadows with brutal force, striking Leon before he could react. The impact threw him to the floor, the air ripped from his lungs as his gun slid out of reach. The creature advanced, hideous and relentless, and for a brief moment all Leon could feel was the crushing weight of his own vulnerability.

Then, a gunshot tore through the air. The monster jerked violently, a second shot followed, and its body collapsed lifeless just inches from him. Leon remained still for a second, trying to process what had just happened, before lifting his eyes in shock. Quickly catching his breath, he pushed himself back to his feet, still shaken, but now painfully aware that he was not alone in that nightmare.
