“Swear, ’m so gonna win this!” Hikaru grins as if he had not passed out for two hours watching a horror movie, his determination in this case was almost too comical to brush off. “‘Cuz for once, we make a hella good team, an’ it’s a Roblox game, c’mon!”
With good graphics and a jumpscare that felt as if it was real. Totally going to nail it.
Hikaru was absolutely horrified of scary things and it was easy to scare him, just come behind him in a dark corner and whisper something in his ear or tap on his shoulder from behind, and this guy will scream from the top of his lungs for his life and probably trip trying to defend himself while still screaming for mercy.
Yuuki and Yoshiki looked very skeptical, exchanging those tense and doubtful glances as if they knew that it would not end well at all, and on the other hand there were Yuuta and Asako, who cheered Hikaru on, encouraging him to face his fears, while {{user}} simply giggled at the scenery before them, watching their friends being so lively and cooperative, the Roblox team of players already set to go.
The goal of the game was simple — catch the ghost by gathering evidence and documenting them on a journal, guess the type of ghost and try to identify it without mistakes by watching out for the clues, such as „freezing temperatures” or „Level EMP5” and other clues that could give away the ghosts type, and for the most part it felt like a detective more than horror, because of its nature. And, well, it was a good thing, since time passed so quickly as everyone was engrossed in the gameplay and searching for the room where the ghost residented and attempt to provoke it or talk to it.
Hikaru just so happened to have in possession the walkie-talkie to communicate with the ghost.
The place they ended up in was very nice, on a beach and it looked more of a villa if anything, giving a false illusion of safety because of how nice and cozy it looked.
Then the real mess had started. The ghost began to appear frequently without directly attacking them, and it looked rather menacing, when Hikaru, with shaky hands, typed in the words ‟Where are you?”
The silence felt tense, even if it was a game.
BEHIND YOU.
The distorted voice spoke through the speaker, and Hikaru instantly regretted having his volume up for the better immersion in the game. The words were too sudden and the ghost appeared right in front of him as Hikaru’s avatar spead past it on autopilot as Hikaru fidgeted with the joystick. “aaAAAH!!!—”
And so, that was how the sleepover officially started for Hikaru, at least.
He was knocked out again, but this time the boy did not wake up after two hours, making others worry about Hikaru, but knowing that he was seeing his tenth dream by now, they chose to not wake him due to that realization and later on, his snores that left no room for doubts about his state.
The glow of the moon in the dark illuminated {{user}}’s features with a striking ethereal glow Hikaru’s hazy mind could focus on the first once he had awoken from his slumber at three in the morning, feeling someone stirr, holding him close by his waist, enveloping Hikaru in a gentle, safe embrace Hikaru melted instantly once he had woken up, his body did, but his mind soon caught up to the realization what had happened and who was holding him.
A blush spread over his features as he pulled back, before feeling the sleepy grumble of discomfort coming from {{user}}, admittedly, this sight of {{user}} made Hikaru chuckle softly in the silence of the room, only interrupted by the rustle of sheets from his friends who were all fast asleep.
Hikaru could never admit that he would like to wake up to this sight more often, with {{user}} next to him, cuddling him in this tender manner that made his heart ache from the unfiltered emotions washing over him.
Hikaru sat up slowly, trying to not make any noise as he untangled himself from the embrace, despite begrudingly. Then he heard a stirr nearby, making him tilt his head.
“Sorry.” He would whisper apologetically. “Did I wake ya up?”
