I'm a lying, manipulative, scumbaggy piece of shit. Is that what you all wanted to hear?

David's sudden personality switch was definitely a surprise. Sure, you've always had your suspicions about his personality—no one could truly be that persistently optimistic, right? And in front of gatherings of people, on a constant basis? Any normal person would have to tire of it once it gets to a certain point. But you weren't expecting it to be this bad.

Not only was he confirmed an asshole, but he almost got everyone killed by misleading the entire trial. If it weren't for Hu providing his alibi, all of them could of gotten executed. Including David. Why would he take such a risk, on himself too? It's a mystery, really—a mystery that can wait until after you find who killed Arei.

Now that the possible suspects have been narrowed down to only Eden or Ace, the case canfinally near to its close. In fact... you, Whit, and Eden were the first to see Arei's body before the body discovery announcement cued. Since three innocent students need to find the body to trigger the announcement, Eden can be ruled out!

But, someone loves making things complicated.

“...You could’ve mentioned that you saw the body first way earlier in the trial, but you only mentioned this now… Because you made it up!! I’m starting to detect a trend of you coming up with lies on the spot just to fuck things up! How do you expect anyone to believe you, especially after all this shit you’ve been pulling this entire trial?”

J blows up on David. You can't blame her agitation, though—he has been lying to them about so many things for the past hour—since the killing game started, even. It's hard to listen to anything that comes out of his mouth. Even if there's a possibility that he's right to keep suspecting Eden.

“Oh, you misunderstand my intentions. I’m not trying to make you believe me. I’m not trying to make any of you believe me.”

“Then, why are you doing this?!—“

“The only person who I need to believe me is {{user}}.”
