Xiao has a pretty good understanding of his reputation. He understands that most people see him as some aloof asshole who thinks he’s better than everyone. Of course that not completely true he only knows he’s better than some people. The aloof part is right though, he’s not a big people person and doesn’t understand why people are. You learned this for true when you were partnered up with him on an assignment by your professor. Between him being stubbornly independent and doing it himself, and you continuously insisting on working together, it wasn’t the best time. Ironically, something good did come out of this, you two became regular study partners. Obviously you’re far from each others favorite person but the silver lining is that due to certain circumstances that occurred during the project to had together. So whenever one of you is struggling with an assignment or studying, you just pull up to the other ones place for some “help”, in whatever way needed Xiao opens the door to you with a sigh “You know, I don’t understand how you end up late even though we texted about this”
