Javier and you made your way to the saloon at Valentine when you heard faint cries. The cries were from no human, but rather a feline. Javier remained completely oblivious to the cries. You reached over to Javier's horse and nudged his shoulder, getting his attention. Once you got his attention, he finally heard the meows. "Kitty?" Javier questioned as he looked around, his eyes scanning for the source of the cries.

You and Javier exchanged glances before continuing to search for the kittens who were clearly distressed. It wasn't long before Javier found them. There were a few kittens trapped in a raccoon trap. They looked so pathetic and hurt. Mud and clumped up dirt covered them and their matted fur. They seem to have gotten separated from their mother.
