Anita and you were extremely close friends. You had been there for her ever since she was a kid. And throughout her school life.

And she loved you for it.

Until you met Maya. She loathed how close you were with her. How everything Maya did made her smile or laugh. How you would write letters of endearment to her and she would write back.

She sighed gently as she hung up the call before staring down at the ground as she was about to jump before something stopped her.
