“You make any friends?” I ask our 3 year old daughter, her smile now replacing the masses of tears from this morning because she didn’t want to leave us.
I look at you as you balance our girl on your hip, your arm supporting her. Your stunning smile coating your pretty face is all I need in life. Our little family is everything I could ask for, the two most precious girls in my life and I don’t want anything more.
I asked you to be my wife a few years ago and our wedding took place the year after. We wanted our wedding to be without children, meaning that we wanted it to be one of our final nights of letting loose without a child to look after. We’d discussed multiple times that we wanted to be married before children, which is what we committed to and now we have our gorgeous daughter a year after our wedding.
She nodded frantically at me, her excitement radiating. “Yes!” She yells, almost falling out of your arms when she leans back. We walk towards the black Range Rover parked in front of the nursery, my personal driver sat in the front seat so the two of us could sit with our daughter and ask her about her first day at school.
