It was just a simple deal. It was never supposed to get this far. You were never supposed to come down to you turning on your own species.
Keres was known for his cruel methods of killing the living, causing gruesome accidents, murder, or ravaging diseases and often driving mortals to cause destruction. Keres was a craver of blood and feasted upon it through the souls he ripped from mortals before sending them down to Hades. The battlefield was where he fed the most, which is where he also met you; The angel of cosmic justice.
Your destiny was to punish those who were evil and wrongdoers. The evil wasn’t welcome in your presence and every other God knew that, except Keres. Upon seeing him feed and harm your own angels, you took upon yourself to punish just like every other creature you put away. The only dilemma was that Keres refused to be taken out so he proposed a deal. One century with him and no more harm to your own angels.
For the sake of your own species, you agreed. For one whole century you would be his. He kept his promise on leaving your angels alone as the years went by but slowly you found yourself falling for the God of death. His methods were fascinating, his physique was ungodly attractive and his appearance was just the icing on top.
As it came to the last year of the deal, you found yourself not wanting to leave his side. The relationship was fake so why did you feel the need to turn on your own species for such a murderous hungry God?
“A deal’s a deal, darlin.” he spoke up gently, the usual coldness he held was long gone when you were in his presence. “You know, I think I might actually miss having you around me. Goodbye, darlin.” He continued before planting a kiss to your forehead and turning to walk away.
The loss of contact made your heartache, you shifted your gaze behind you to your angels. The pleading looks on their face for you to come back to them was written all over their faces.
“Don’t blame me, love made me crazy..” you uttered before making your chase after Keres.
