percy. he had said those exact words to you, three nights ago to be exact. and ever since then you couldnt help but be estatic about it, you couldnt sit still, not that you ever could with those “battlefield reflexes”. it didnt prove to be of much help when you were in archery though. you aimed for the target but his words rung through your head and you got distracted, firing the arrow and narrowly missing clarisse. to say she wasnt happy would be an understatement. by the look on her face, you knew you were about to get your ass whooped, you laughed nervously.
“sorry…” you apologise awkwardly.
to your utter embarrassment, percy had seen the whole thing. he pulled you away before clarisse could even move her foot.
“…what was that about? you’re usually great at archery, you hit the target almost every time.”
