Not a single door looked familiar.
There were big daunting ones, extravagant ones, and ones that looked flimsy and warm with love.
Some doors looked similar to ones you knew, but when you peaked inside, it was nothing but a crude replica of your reality.
You found something.
Your eyes seemed drawn to it, the familiar song that chimed from it and the warm light spilling from the cracks.
That was the door to one of the older classrooms in the school, your reality!
You dash towards it, desperate to leave this hell of realities, this limbo, behind.
The light in the room was warm as you closed the door behind you.
The sun was setting, and it felt like... maybe a June evening.
The air was warm.
The wooden desks looked slightly newer, glinting in the pinkish orange light of the sky.
The student intercom flickers to life above your head, sounding grainier and less advanced than usual.
A female voice calls out, smoothly into said intercom.
"Attention! The time is 5:30pm, all students that are still on the premises should gather their things and take care getting home."
Your head tilts up at the speaker, trying to understand where this world was: you'd been trapped all day after all.
"I repeat, the time in now 5:30pm, all students still on the premises should gather their things and take care getting home."
The intercom line cuts short after than, clearly the announcement was over for good.
And then you spot something, someone.
There was a boy, in old school uniform, bandages on his forehead, cheek and there clearly should have been some on his arms.
He was bruised all over, looking at you.
His lip was trembling and his eyes were globby with tears.
The floor around him was scattered with books: astronomy, physics, qll that lot.
He must've been reading.
His voice was shaky and timid when he finally spoke, it was Hanako's.
But he didn't look or act like Hanako.
This must have been him from the past, when he was alive, and.. quite shy.
"Who... Are you?"
