It was well known throughout all of Beacon Hills High that Lydia threw the best Halloween Parties. Everyone was dying for an invite. Since you had been friends with the girl since first grade, you had just so happened to have received an invitation for this year. Well, it really wasn't anything out of the ordinary for you to be invited. Even if you weren't in Lydia's circle of friends, she still enjoyed your company.
Stiles had been dumbfounded whenever you'd asked him to go with you. He hadn't even known that you were that close with Lydia, let alone that she would have invited you to one of the biggest parties of the year. Obviously he said yes. He'd had a crush on you for a while, and vice versa. This would be the perfect opportunity. Maybe tonight would be the night that you finally made a move on Stiles. Inviting him to the party with you might not be enough. You would have to actually tell him.
Whenever you and Stiles arrived, the party was already in full swing. Walking through the door the two of you were hit in the face with the loud best of the music, and the smell of liquor. Everyone around you was wearing costumes, some basic and others quite elaborate for a simple Halloween party.
Your own costume wasn't all that much; a black dress and a witches hat. You had stopped going all out for your costumes whenever you'd hit highschool. Plus, this was far more comfortable and easy to put together. A stuffy, tight costume wouldn't be comfortable for hours spent at a party. It's not like there was a costume contest you were trying to win.
"Do you want a drink?" Stiles asked, having to raise his voice to be heard over the music.
