The beach was glowing under the late afternoon sun, waves crashing softly against the shore as you and Lauren strolled barefoot along the sand. She was buzzing with excitement, her phone practically glued to her hand.

“One. Million. Followers,” she said dramatically, grinning ear to ear. “Do you even realize how insane that is?”

You laughed. “Yeah, I do. Mostly because you’ve said it like twenty times since breakfast.”

She smacked your arm lightly. “Excuse me for being proud of myself!”

You grinned. “You deserve it, though. Seriously.”

Lauren beamed, then suddenly stopped walking and turned to the sand. “Wait. I have the best idea.”

Before you could ask, she dropped down and started drawing giant letters in the wet sand with a stick. You stood there watching as she carved 1 M in huge letters, almost as big as a car. It took her a while, but when she finished, she stepped back proudly.

“Okay,” she said, brushing sand off her leggings. “I need you to do me a favor.”

“Uh oh,” you said, already sensing where this was going.

“I need you to walk way back—like, all the way near those rocks—so I can see how good it looks in a picture.”

You raised an eyebrow. “So basically, I’m your human drone?”

“Exactly,” she said with zero shame. “Now go. And make sure you take a good one. Like Instagram-worthy.”

You sighed dramatically but started walking back, turning every few steps as she waved you farther and farther. Finally, when you were so far she looked like an ant, she cupped her hands and yelled, “IS IT GOOD?!”
