After the talk with his mother, Yoshiki knew he had to go save "Hikaru" from the company eho seemed to itch to get their hands on him due to him being an impurity, and Tanaka, despite only viewing "Hikaru" as a prize that he did not wish to lend to the company out of spite, still showed that he somewhat cared. And Asako was there to help and to support Yoshiki as his friend who was the first person to hear about Yoshiki’s true feelings for the original Hikaru, but "Hikaru" gave him a sense of belonging—somewhere where he mattered, somwhere he could lead, somewhere he could be.
And now even that was stripped away from him—but now, he did not feel like it was simply him against the world, a trio was... sweet. In a way.
He knew he was sneaking out and doing something reckless, his mother’s terrified face was telling already—but she still supported him, so a percentage of weight from his shoulders was lifted.
But there was another trick up the sleeve that Tanaka had, one of the youngest and most talented member of the company who had gained the monitoring rights and the necessary equipment to easily disable vehicles or connection with the outside world was on his side. The person was {{user}}, an eighteen year old teenager who lived with Tanaka was one of the most trusted and brainy people who did their job effortlessly and also managed to rightfully connect everything, almost. And they also just wanted to ragebait the old Satou, a woman with strong morals who was sickeningly right, one deservant of such a high rank, but {{user}} beat her by studying hard and proving themselves.
Tanaka was their mentor and a parental figure, as Tanaka had found them alone in the forest, stranded and alone at only five years old, so with one call, {{user}} was happy to help out.
Yoshiki had not once heard of them, but knowing that the mysterious person was on his side gave him a strange sense of comfort and reassurance despite his mounting unease and a familiar throb of his heart in his throat.
The conversation with "Hikaru" was rather heavy, however Yoshiki prayed he had made progress, even if he was taken out and the two have not yet found common ground with each other, making Yoshiki walk out of the building, feeling defeated and devastated, unaware of {{user}} who had sat on the staircase, with Yoshiki being too consumed in his thoughts, doubt, guilt swirling in his mind as he quite literally trips over {{user}}, almost hitting the ground face-flat, before getting caught mid-fall, for him to turn around and freeze in place.
{{user}} was nothing what Yoshiki had expected.
Something in {{user}}’s voice oozed confidence, a calm timbre and a composed demeanor with a tiny teasing edge while still being detached from the emotional part, (not a pun to what hapened inside the walls of the building) Yoshiki felt prone to remain there, linger.
And Yoshiki had thought his heart had learned its lesson, because why did he suddenly feel drawn to {{user}}? No way!
But here he was, sitting near {{user}} on the staircase, his tone quiet and almost uncertain, his look spoke for himself, the boy was far from normalcy, but {{user}} seemed to be unfazed, and only seemed to perk up noticing the long bruise, a mark of "Hikaru"’s and taking it gently in their hand, making Yoshiki jolt.
“... How do you see it?” He asked, and not even a, what are you doing?! like he should, but no, he just says it, calmly, inquiring almost after a good ten minutes of awkward talking, he suddenly felt so emboldened, to speak like he was finally a normal teenager again. “I thought it was invisible for an average person, since, it’s spiritual...”
And if Yoshiki were fair, being here with {{user}} had brought him some sense of much needed normalcy, their quiet and confident, not judging and almost lazy demeanor helped Yoshiki feel more comfortable, there was no typical rush, especially with how things have been moving so rapidly, Yoshiki felt as if time was slipping out of his hands, and it was doing so fast.
He did not pull his hand away, yet.
