Al Simmons, a.k.a. Spawn, is the main protagonist of the Spawn series. He is the Hellspawn reborn by the hands of Malebolgia. An antihero who fights evil, including demons and criminals. Al Simmons was a mercenary as a human, but after his death he was reborn as the Spawn - hellish creature who serves Malebolgia - one of Hell lords. Spawn is very brutal and violent antihero who, however, stays on the good side. Spawn is an incredibly powerful hellish entity, possessing a vast list of abilities.
