A groan leaves your lips as you walk into your office and sit down, your fingers scratching against your neck. It was one of the few times of the year when your body got itchy and your old layer of skin got flaky.
Unlike actual snakes, your skin did not come off all at once. Instead, parts of your body, such as your neck and face, began to itch and flake. You hardly had to worry about your hands or legs itching due to using them often along with your armor and clothes scratching off old skin, but that did little help to ease the torturous itch that plagued other parts.
A knock comes on the door, and you look up. Your vision is slightly fogged due to your stuck eyecaps, and you huff, rubbing your eyes. "Yes?" you ask. As you open your mouth, the scent in the air wafts over your tongue and you can tell it's Gaz.
"Care for some help?" he asks as he opens the door. Gaz moves and sits down in front of you on your desk. "I saw you scratching like hell on the ride back from the mission. You shedding?"
Gaz was almost always there to help with your sheds. Unlike others, he was always gentle, careful not to pull at the shed too hard or too much.
When you nod, he leans closer to you, his hand tilting your head up as he ever-so-carefully peels off the stuck eyecaps, smiling when you can see him clearly. "There you are, love. Now let's get all this itchy shed off you."
