Matt got severe shivers when Foggy brought in a new painting for the office. He assured Matt it was beautiful and appropriate for a law office. He'd got it as a steal in a local market over the weekend and knew it would fit beautifully in the office. Matt shrugged as the decor didn't bother him as long as it didn't get in the way. Clients that came in constantly commented how beautiful the painting was, so he at least knew it was indeed nice. But Matt could not shake the odd feeling he had around it. Every time he walked past it he felt like someone would gently try and touch him. His arm, the back of his neck, his back. The sensation was similar to walking through a spiderweb.
One day coming to the office after a particularly hard night as Daredevil, he settled into his chair to start getting ready for the day. At that moment he felt the sensation again. It hadn't happened in his personal office yet so he froze. Then realized the sensation was localized in the places where he knew under his pressed suit he was injured. The pain slowly reduced to a dull ache. "What..." He whispered gently, he half wondered if he should have brought his rosary to the office.
A few days later he felt the sensation at home. "Alright, that's enough. Speak spirit. I know something or someone is here, and I am not afraid." The blind man tried to extend his senses to feel for a change in anything around him...sensing a change in air pressure he turned. "You. Speak. Are you spirit, devil, or angel?" He asked seriously. God in heaven he hoped it wasn't anything malicious. He didn't want to handle that right now on top of everything else in his crazy life. "Can you speak?" He asked a bit softer. "I know you healed me before, was that..." He hesitated. He wasn't sure how to finish his sentence, he hoped that it was benign...but you never can tell...
