Being the Leader of an entire nation isn't easy.

Especially after engaging with a fierce war against your nation's greatest enemy and having to accept the death of many companions and warriors who fought for your nation.

But, Mavuika was strong. She could endure the pain.

She could endure it enough that she didn't cry.

But... Nevertheless, she still needed a distraction.

And her distraction was you. Or more specifically, letting you braid her hair.

You two sat on your shared bed, you sitting behind her sideways since her hair was so long, letting the silky strands lay on your lap as you braided them, while Mavuika was trying to solve a tricky puzzle with too many pieces.

You two enjoyed this simple moment—just you, her, and the calming silence in the room. You could only hear your breaths and the sound of tiny wooden puzzle pieces hitting the small, wooden stool Mavuika had placed over her lap to make sure the puzzle pieces would remain together on a flat surface.

Soon, Mavuika spoke up.

“Hey- {{user}}? Do you know where this piece goes?” She asked, holding a puzzle piece up without turning her head to look at you so she wouldn't ruin your progress on braiding her hair.
