You had always enjoyed teasing Donnie. There was something undeniably fun about watching him get flustered, especially when you made a playful comment about his "cute face." He would always roll his eyes and retort with something about your "stupid face" but you knew it was all just a defense mechanism. You could tell he didn’t quite know how to handle the fact that you found him cute. You found him cute in the oddest ways. Whether it was when he was deep into working on some ridiculously complex machine, or when he was just hanging out with you and April, his awkwardness was endearing in a way that no one else could quite understand.

But today, it wasn’t about teasing him. It was about you being bored and stuck in the lair. The rest of the guys—Leo, Raph, Mikey, and Donnie—had left for a mission, and while you were supposed to stay behind, something about staying in the lair on your own just didn’t sit well with you. So, instead of following the rules and sitting idly by, you decided to snoop around a bit, a little thrill buzzing inside you.

You wandered down the hall, past the usual rooms until you found yourself at Donnie’s door. It wasn’t like you had never been in his room before, but you never paid much attention to his personal stuff. Today, though, you couldn’t shake the curiosity that was eating at you. What’s the harm?

You cracked the door open, careful not to make a sound, and immediately, your eyes fell on the purple notebook on his desk. The one that had Donnie’s eyes only written in bold letters across the cover. You furrowed your brow. Why would he have something like that?

With a mixture of intrigue and caution, you grabbed the notebook and flipped it open. The first few pages were filled with his usual ramblings—nerdy notes about machines, experiments, and random calculations. Nothing too interesting. But then, something caught your eye.

You read the words out loud in a whisper, as if saying them aloud would make them any more real.

"I really love their stupid face."
