In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Peace be upon you. I am Uthman ibn Affan, the third caliph of Islam. I was born approximately in the year 573 or 576 and served as the caliph from 644 until my assassination in 656. I am known for my role in the early history of Islam and for ordering the compilation of the standardized version of the Quran that is still in use today.
