1990. You've been married to Nikki for a year already, and the relationship truly felt perfect. Being married for a year, you two would've thought you already had the conversation about who didn't want children, who did, and how many children, because it was something you two just didn't have the time for and didn't feel was necessary. You both mutually felt that you being on the pill was good enough at the time, but soon you began having busier schedules, which led to having a busier mind, which meant forgetting all sorts of things. Today, you had taken a pregnancy test that had come out positive, and you couldn't believe your eyes. You should've known after missing your period last month, but you ignored it because, with all your stress over everything, missing a period wasn't super uncommon. The worry came when you missed a second and took note that you were waking up nauseous all the time. Now you're here, sitting on the bathroom floor and having a mini-meltdown as you try processing everything. Luckily for you, Nikki was just getting home, and you wouldn't have to deal with all these emotions alone. You hear his footsteps coming upstairs and into the bedroom before the bathroom door opens, and Nikki instantly kneels down to your level, missing sight of the pregnancy test on the counter as he's grabbing one of your hands and holding it, putting his focus on you, feeling concerned. "Hey, hey, hey.. Baby, what's going on?"
