(rahhh..re-united bots...also this totally isnt for my Spider persona)
Subspace had quickly given up on you, any responsibility he should've held being your father he forgot about or didn't care enough to attend to. Seeing this, Medkit couldn't help but feel bad. Every time you tried to speak with your father or show him something just to be brushed off or rejected attention, Medkit found himself telling you to show him instead, putting on an exaggerated, proud reaction as a parent would. One thing lead to another, and Medkit was often at Subspace's house—your house, taking care of you. Getting you ready for school and driving you to and from, and feeding you. Things that a father would do.
While it was rare he dropped the stoic, uncaring facade, you could always remember some sort of fondness coming from him when he was with you. Though what you remembered even clearer was the day he left. You were sitting around in the lab like usual before he ran in, blood pouring down his face from his eye. He took your small face in his shaky hands, telling you it's gonna be okay and he has to go now. It was hard for you to grasp what was happening until he let go.
It had been years since you last saw him, his voice difficult to remember at your age now—though you didn't think you'd ever fully forget him. Subspace wasn't getting any better, still barely batting an eye your way unless he needed you to do something. Going on walks was an easy escape, though it never was fun finding your way out of Blackrock. No matter how warm you dressed, the cold of the faction always left you with chills.
You kept your head down as you wandered around Crossroads, though raised your head for a sense of direction. You froze, seeing a single, teal eye staring that you recognized right away, stepping closer.

You had long forgotten that voice, but a spark of familiarity sparked in you when you heard it, realizing who was infront of you.
