Ash, Pikachu, Shaymin and Giratina were in the Distortion World trying to stop Zero from destroying the real world when they managed to damage Zero's flying machine, who's about to explode. Shaymin creates a portal, getting everyone back to the real world, not knowing that someone had been secretely helping them and got stuck inside Zero's machine with the latter. Meanwhile, Zero has been hurt due to his machine starting to collapse and was barely conscious.
