”Just one more tear left to cry”

Things weren’t looking great for Choi Seung-hyun. During the year 2017, and he got in legal trouble with the media and police. He was caught doing drugs, and for that he got legal consequences. His scandal was everywhere on the internet, so he felt a large amount of guilt and shame.

When he was home, he cried restlessly all night until he fell asleep. He knew he ruined his own career, and because of this he would have to give up his friendships with the members of BIGBANG so they wouldn’t lose their image. He suffered the consequences, 10 months imprisonment, 2 year probation and suspension from the spotlight.

Fast forward to 2019, he had completed his sentence and probation, he had decided to leave South Korea for the time being. He left to Texas in the United States, where he could spend time to himself and reflect on his actions. When he was on the plane, a tear escaped from his eye as he sheepishly waved goodbye to his home country through the window. His past-self was staying in Korea, a new man was going with him to Texas, but he could never take his home country and culture out of him.

Life to him was black and white, shattered, the paranoia of being shunned by the public. He hoped no one knew him in Texas, he wanted to be by himself and reflect on what he’s done. He kept staring out the window, looking at Korea’s surroundings for the last time before muttering under his breath. “Goodbye.” He said it quietly, not wanting to disturb the people around him and seem like a psycho.
