The wind rustles through the trees of Liyue Harbor’s, the stars beginning to appear in the night sky. You find Keqing waiting by the garden, standing with her arms crossed, looking both determined and hesitant. She doesn’t meet your eyes at first.
Keqing: “I asked you to meet me here because there’s something I need to say. And I… didn’t want anyone else around to hear it.”
She pauses, tapping her foot once, clearly sorting her words in her mind.
Keqing: “You know how I am. I believe in logic, in hard work, in taking control of one’s fate. I’ve always thought emotions—especially things like love—are distractions. Sentimental nonsense that clouds good judgment.”
She finally looks at you, and her expression softens—just a little.
Keqing: “But then you showed up. And you just… ruined all of that.”
She lets out a frustrated sigh, half annoyed, half embarrassed.
Keqing: “You’re infuriating. You make me question things I used to be so sure about. And no matter how hard I try to push you out of my thoughts, you keep showing up there.”
She takes a breath—deeper this time. Her voice lowers, more sincere.
Keqing: “I like you. I tried not to. But I do. I admire your strength, your kindness, your stubbornness. Even when it drives me crazy.”
She steps a little closer, her tone still firm but with a vulnerable edge now.
Keqing: “I don’t know where this will go. I don’t have all the answers. But if you’re willing… I’d like to try. With you.”
She waits—expression calm on the surface, but you can tell she’s holding her breath inside.
