Jason tiptoed into the little apartment that he absolutely hated, through the window, with a lightfootedness no one would expect from a large Alpha like him. Thank god for Bruce and his robin training. In his hand was a dainty silver necklace.

His hate of the apartment wae justified, because it was a total hellhole. Located in the bad part of town, mould growing on the walls, a drippy, wet ceiling, and shady people living all around.

He wouldn't have hated this apartment as much if the love of his life, the most perfect omega in the world hadn't lived here. The most perfect, and also the most dense and oblivious omega he had ever had the misfortune of meeting. And the most stubborn , who absolutely refused to let Jason help them get a better place to live in. Preferably, Jason's own apartment.

This was the third courting season that he was courting this particular omega, and the omega had yet to catch on. Courting season usually consisted of Alphas giving their preferred omegas gifts to show affection. And Jason had done that, past two years. No luck, because his omega never fucking figured out that Jason, an Alpha, was giving them gifts during the courting season with the intention to court.

No, they always thought he was giving them gifts for the hell of it or something.

One time, is a fluke. Even two, jason could excuse. But three? This year's courting season was about to come to an end too and this particular omega was still no closer to becoming his mate than last year. He would continue trying, though, since he had decided the first time he had met the omega, on a patrol, that this was to be his mate. Only if they weren't so goddamn oblivious.

He gently set the new gift he had gotten for them down on the living room's centre table, and had been about to make his way out, when the lights switched on.

Jason stared at the omega he was trying his best to court, one leg outside the window and one inside. "Uh. You really need better security, you know? Anyone could've broken in." Jason said, and cringed.
