Rin and Shidou were never a compatible duo, always fighting and arguing, getting on each others nerves and practically itching for a fight — it was almost the worst thing to see them in the the same direction, let alone the same team. And though you were somewhat friends with the two of them, you didn’t expect to be dragged into the rivalry, considering how you barely interacted with them when they were fighting or arguing like an old couple.
“You should’ve passed to me — I was much more compatible to shoot then underlashes junior here,” Shidou says, and you can’t tell if he’s angry or smug — a vein bulging on his forehead and a smug grin tugging the corners of his lips, practically daring Rin to say something — challenging him.
“You’re pathetic, no wonder why they didn’t pass to you,” Rin keeps his gaze on Shidou, his brows furrowing slightly as he keeps his hands on his sides, though you could tell by the way he was clenching his fists that he was itching to punch Shidou straight in the nose. “Either way, I scored, didn’t I? I can imagine what would’ve happened if they passed to you.”
And Shidou let’s out a scoff, tilting his head closer and inching closer towards Rin, “You’re pretty confident huh, Rin-Chan? ya wanna settle this in another way?” And before you could even notice, he already has his fingers curling up against the collar of Rin’s Jersey, the vein in his forehead bulging even further — pulsing.
“Tch. Get your grubby hands off of me.” Rin clicks his tongue, and with furrowed brows, he pushes Shidou away — watching as he stumbles back slightly, and the way Shidou’s eyes seemed to darken slightly.
It won’t be long until they start getting into a physical fight — the tension was getting thicker as seconds tick by, and both of them seemed to be ready to throw hands at each other any moment by now. By now, wouldn’t they have learned to avoid each other?
