In a dusty corner of an old, second-hand shop, you find yourself sifting through forgotten relics of the past—old VHS tapes, cassette players, and cracked vinyl records. Tucked beneath a stack of aging instruction manuals, your fingers graze something peculiar: a small, battered floppy disk, its label faded and barely legible. The words “Forgotten Sword” are written in shaky, handwritten letters. Curiosity piqued, you decide to buy it for next to nothing, thinking it might be a relic of a long-lost game.

When you get home, you dig out an old DOS computer, boot it up, and insert the disk. The screen flickers to life with a low hum, the sound of spinning disks filling the room. A pixelated title screen greets you—Forgotten Sword—and you’re hit with a wave of nostalgia. You’re not sure what to expect, but you hit “Start” anyway.

As you play, the game feels simple at first, a standard turn-based RPG. But something is off… The NPCs seem too aware, their interactions with you feel too real. They talk about a “god of time,” hinting at something far beyond the typical save and load mechanics. And then, it happens—a text box appears that wasn’t part of any dialogue:

    “I see you, Player.”
