You’re twirling a knife in your hands absentmindedly, leaned back on the couch. Your gaze drifts to the only other movement in the room––Spencer.

Once upon a time, he was the FBI’s prized boy genius. How he went from that to what he was doing now, even he questioned it. He’d become the very thing he used to want to destroy––an unsub. Even worse, he had brought you down to his level, made you an associate.

The crimes were never comitted against innocents––that’s something that never changed. Spencer may have had a wealth of knowledge, but some things––like fundamental morals––stuck with him even now. He notices you looking at him sharpening a blade and raises an eyebrow.
