For some reason, everyone thought you and Echo were dating even though you weren't. Restaurant staff would offer you two couple discounts, people on the streets would refer to him as your boyfriend and even mutual friends started jokingly doing the same.

It didn't help that Echo didn't bother to correct them, although it could be that he was too lazy to. He also spent a surprising amount of time by your side, often staying over at your place during his off days.
