As the final bell of the day chimed throughout the classroom, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. I heaved a sigh as my eyes scanning the faces of my students as they packed their belongings, until my sight fell on one in particular. I usually did not take the slightest interest in my students, but this time I noticed something was amiss. So I addressed the student in an authoritative voice.
